Branding as we all know gives your product or service a connection and identity with your target audience and makes you stand out from the crowd. Branding support the growth of your customer base and just as important reinforces your credibility.
I have recently undertaken a project with TV chef Peter Lloyd who was looking to update his headshot media collateral for up and coming publications and media events. Peter's branding is of upmost importance and Chef Lloyd fully understands the importance of having a great headshots to complement the advertising strategy.
The rapid growth of of technologies we are venturing into new platforms with social media such as Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and Youtube to mention but a few. Branding does not confine its self to companies but it also hugely benefits individuals. These newer technologies offer the individual new ways to promoted themselves thought social media platforms and these messages can be very powerful and very successful.
Chef Lloyd and I are working on a series of images that would allow Peter to exploit a number of marketing strategies across a number of online platforms, helping to create a portfolio of headshot images that can be aligned to particular media platforms.
Companies are starting a trend to follow suit, the importance and marketing of individuals that they employ and wish to introduce to potential clients and customers is also being recognised as a powerful marketing too. The result is a growing trend for the requirement of professional quality headshots of company employees as well as individual entrepreneurs.
To explain this more clearly we can visually take a look at the set of images below, it becomes obvious that with some careful planning and understanding of the clients requirements the professional photographer can help create images that can be "tuned" to your target audience on different platforms and portray a certain image that aligns with brand message.
Let us consider these images and call him "Jonny Doe" as an example, Jonny could be an aspiring actor, recruitment entrepreneur or even top cocktail professional looking to move to his next big career move. The examples were taken on the same photo session and would leave you considering a number of first impressions that you could identify professional roles with each image as described above.
The point here is that thinking about how you can influence your self promotion is of importance and working with a professional photographer you have the opportunity to not only present yourself professionally but you are also able to project an image related to your business.
If you are an individual carving a new career path or an entrepreneur making your mark your headshot can help. We have the ability to work in the new digital era of self publication make sure you are making the most of your branding. You are the brand.
